"Mr Mouse Takes A Trip" - Limited Edition Serigraph Cel

The 1940 animated film "Mr Mouse Takes A Trip," featuring Mickey and Pluto as dog and master was released by Walt Disney Studio.

The art for this serigraph cel was carefully selected by Disney artists from the original animation drawing used to produce "Mr. Mouse Takes A Trip." The artists used the master print of the film as their color guide. The serigraphy artisans at Chicago Serigraphic Workshop created fifteen separate screens, one for each individual color, from which the edition was printed, one color at at time. By using this meticulous serigraph process, the hand crafted quality of the original cel was achieved.

This limited edition is comprised of 9,500 serigraph cels. As is the custom in fine art printmaking, the silkscreens used to create the edition were destroyed when the edition was completed.

Cel size is approximately 14 inches by 11 inches. Finished frame size is approximately 21 1/4 inches by 7 1/4 inches. The gel is professionally mated and framed. a small wave is apparent in the gel as seen in the picture.
